Bumble
The blade of grass spread like a vast ocean. The flowers rose high above, soaring to the cloudless sky. Among all that, the little jumping spider made its way to the spot where it had caught a cricket. It jumped through the grass, avoiding to bumble into the spinner spiders and their webs. That would be bad.
Grandmother’s Flower Garden
The Gran’s garden was always in bloom. The leaves were already dropping from the trees, shadowing the back garden, but, like magic, the flower beds were vivid with all colors. She always loved visiting Gran and playing with her cat. She had dressed the little devil in a shark outfit, and they were exploring the garden together. The cat was shaking its butt and launching itself at anything that moved.
The girl, instead, was looking for a spider. The one she had seen last time in the flower beds. It was a jumping spider, and the cutest thing she had ever seen. It would become her new friend.
Mean Girls
I wasn’t excited to write about mean girls, bullying, and new schools, so I skipped this one.
The Prompts are from the book A Year of Creative Writing Prompts.
I felt highly selective today about how long and what to write. Having the splint on my right arm makes everything so much more complicated, slower, and painful.
I’m disappointed with today’s prompts. There was no flow or story in mind. I didn’t make the setting engaging. But I guess there will be a lot of days like this, and they are part of writing. Next time then. And there better be aliens or pirates or monsters with the next prompts. By the way, if you haven’t read Frankenstein, I highly recommend it. It is divine. It pops into my mind every now and then, and I can still feel the story come alive inside me. There is this wonderful mood that comes with it. Okay, now I have to stop typing; my shoulder hurts, and I’m leaning heavily on my left side.
I changed the title because I got bored writing Ruminating And Writing.
Thank you for reading ❤ I wish you a prolific day!
