Wealth

She watched behind her father’s leg as the most beautiful woman in the world rode through the streets. She was wearing all her wealth. The diamonds and sapphires shone on her headpiece. Her pearls were as wide as snow. She was as white as snow. She would be the king’s wife—her queen.

Her dress flowed down the horse, and she gasped as the woman’s blue eyes met hers. She hid behind her father’s leg, shielding herself from the gaze. When she returned to watch the convoy, the queen had already moved on, but those blue eyes lingered in her. They had looked sad. Sadder than she had ever been. With all those diamonds and sapphires, how could anyone be so sad?

Garden In Bloom

He had been hiking the mountain trail for a whole day. The snow slowly drifted down, making the winter landscape dreamier. This was what life should feel like, not like the five days in a week in the office. That wasn’t life. That was something else. Here in the mountains, in the cold and wind, life had meaning.

Nothing could make his day better. Yet, something did. He stepped onto a secluded path that took him to a valley between the peaks. There was a garden in full bloom in the middle of winter. There were flowers of blue irises, yellow marigolds, and red dahlias—nothing that should bloom in the winter.

He took a seat among the flowers, feeling the gush of warmth stemming from the ground. This is possible, he said to himself. This was reality. This happened when you gave nature a chance. He took off his jacket and spread it on the ground. He lay there watching as the snow drifted over him, never touching him or the flowers.

Bunny Ears

A boy suddenly grows bunny ears, making high school even harder. I skipped this one.

The prompts are from the book A Year of Creative Writing Prompts.

It worked. The Robin Hood element. It made the book and Ethel make more sense. Now I know how the book will end and how it will all tie together. Also, we need some Robin Hood action in this world of ours. So, why not write about it?

I couldn’t focus today. My thoughts kept drifting all over the place. Writing the prompts was hard.

Thank you for reading ❤ Have a beautiful day full of serenity and happiness!
