News: The Fourth Book

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to tell you that my fourth book has a title, and the cover is already done. Now, I will have to wait for it back from my beta readers and send it to my editor before I can publish the cover and title here. But the book will be published at the beginning of the following year. Something I didn’t expect to happen at the beginning of this year.

And there is more! I have started to write my fifth book already. I didn’t know the story before I finished my fourth book as I did with the previous ones, but now I have the first chapter ready, and the outline of the book is starting to form. For those of you who know who Cruxh is and love the ghoul to bits, he is finally getting his own narrative. I’m scared to let him have a voice as I don’t want to break his morals and character, but hopefully, I don’t have to. For me, Cruxh symbolizes how our laws should work and how our police should act. He is the hope against the chaos and terror of the unknown at the worst time in a person’s life. I just have to make sure I do justice for him.

I think a good officer is someone who doesn’t go in guns blazing. They know how to defuse the situation with their words both when delivering bad news and arresting the suspect. Unfortunately, violence sometimes has to be met with violence. Also, sometimes the officers make mistakes. But then there has to be consequences. When my father died, the officer in charge of his case made mistakes, and instead of taking responsibility, she shied away from her duties. It took a great effort on our part to fix the situation. The worst part of it was that it made my sister question her actions and feel shitty about it in her time of sorrow, even when she hadn’t done anything wrong. So, small actions can have significant consequences, especially as police officers won’t strictly come in at happy times.

I didn’t mean to dwell on that. What I want to say is that I’m excited to play with Cruxh and see where his actions lead with the topic—a topic I will not reveal yet because I still need to figure it out myself. But let’s not get ahead. Cruxh is an integral part of the fourth book too. He is tangled with everything because why wouldn’t he be? He is the law and thus the guardian of a functional society, and in the fourth book, Necropolis’s laws are written new. Petula is tired of the old customs where money does the speaking, and the Necromantic Council dictates the lives of everyone. But if she thinks she can go and change everything just like that, she has another thing coming. She will not be their sweetheart anymore, the poster girl for necromancy. She even might end up killed for what she is trying to do.

I can’t wait to share my fourth book with you!

Thank you for reading! Have a wonderful day ❤
